The peonies were so pretty this year. It always seems to rain just after they bloom out and they just hold so much water in their petals that they droop to the ground. I always try to pick some before that happens.
What is prettier than a peony? A lot of peonies! They make such lush and good smelling bouquets. I only wish they lasted longer.
They remind me of my daughter's wedding. They are her favorite flower and at first she didn't think she would be able to include them in her flowers. Everything worked out though and at the last minute the florist was able to find some (and we were able to afford them ;-) ~ funny how of all the details, and of all the flowers, those stick out!! So cool that you can grow them in your very own yard!!
